This report is for both the Club Championship held on Sept. 9 and the final Ladies Golf night on Sept. 13.
The weather cooperated, but it was a little damp and rather cold on both days. The Fun Game on Sept. 13 was “Cry Baby” where each golfer gets to eliminate their two worst hole scores.
The winners are: flight one—Cry Baby number one was Tanya Desjarlais and Cry Baby number two was Carol Hindle; Carol H. got the KP on number five and Karen Cassie had the long drive.
Flight two—Madeline Klassen was Cry Baby number one and Jane Olson was Cry Baby number two; Marg Anderson got the KP on number five and Jane Olson had the long drive.
Flight number three—Abbey Bates was Cry Baby and Carol McNeil had the long drive. Abbey B. had Long Putt All. Jane O had least number of putts and the only Chip In.
There were no birdies to end the season so the pot will be held over to next year. The door prize winners were Larissa Hadley, Carol H., Carol Mc., Marg A., Jane O., Tanya D. and Deb Pearce.
The door prizes were gift certificates from Bear’s Den, Tim Hortons, and Wells Gray Inn. Carol Mc. and Abbey B. won the special draw of gift certificates from The Painted Turtle.
Our Club Champions on Sept. 9 were Tanya Desjarlais with Overall Low Gross and Madeline Klassen with Overall Low Net. There were 14 ladies participating in the championship.
For flight one—Deanna Pendergast had the KP and low gross, Tanya had the long drive and Carol H. had the longest putt and low net.
For flight two—Larissa had the KP and low gross, Joan Slingsby had long drive and low net and Marg A. had long putt.
For flight three—Marie Giesbrecht had KP and first low gross, Hazel Wadlegger had long drive and Jane O. had long putt and second low gross. Deanna and Tanya had birdies and Abbey and Hazel shared the Chip In pot.
Deanna won a half membership from Lacarya for her KP and Carol H. won a gift certificate from Sportcheck (donated by Borrow Enterprises) for her long putt of over 34’.
