Editor, The Times:
BC Youth Week is a provincial celebration of youth held annually during the first week of May. It is a week of fun-filled interaction and a celebration intended to build a strong connection between youth and their communities.
Wherever Youth Week is celebrated, the idea behind it is the same: Young people are important and need to be recognized in a constructive and positive manner; their contributions need to be acknowledged and celebrated.

The 2018 Clearwater Youth Week committee consists of a group of Clearwater Secondary School students who are excited to offer once again two Youth Week events: “Clearwater’s Got Talent” on Thursday, May 3, 6:30 p.m. in the Pit at Clearwater Secondary School, open to all children and youth in our community to perform; and the “Clearwater Carnage Sk8, Scoot and Bike Jam” on Tuesday, May 8, 5 p.m. at Rotary Skateboard Park.
We will be posting on Facebook leading up to the events and hope to see many community members out to support Youth Week!
