The Big “O”


It is with heavy hearts that the family announces the passing of Orval on Wednesday, February 9, 2017 in Edmonton at the age of 61 years.

Orval was born on April 30, 1955 in Prince George B.C. to his parents Vera and James Musselman. He enjoyed many hobbies such as music, camping, fishing, hunting and games.

He will forever be missed by his loving wife, Irene; his children, Travis (Jaydeen), Jenna (Shawn), Kailey (Pat), Kim (Durral) and Susan (Kacy); his grandchildren, Taylor, Mya, Reece, Paige, Callum, Rozlyn, Brayden and Maddison; his siblings Noreen, Fergus (Trudy) Keven (Lorraine), Ardell (Mervyn), Lesley (Anne), Trevor (Brenda); as well as numerous nieces, nephews and friends.

Orval was predeceased by his father Newton James Henry Musselman, his mother Vera Florence McCorriston, his brother-in-law Norman Bjorndalen and his niece Kirsty Musselman.

A memorial service was held on Saturday, February 18, 2017 at 3:00 pm in the Royal Canadian Legion Branch #249, Hinton, AB with Reverend Bill Bulger officiating.

There will be a gathering in Clearwater, BC. to celebrate Orval’s life at a later date.

The family would like to express their sincere gratitude to everyone who called and visited Orval in the hospital over the last month. Seeing you smile, hearing you laugh, and playing guitar with all of you brightened his day!
