KAMLOOPS - Cathy McLeod, Member of Parliament for Kamloops-Thompson-Cariboo, said that although NAFTA negotiations began on Aug. 16, constituents still have an opportunity to share their views.

The Canadian government is currently taking a broad consultation process with Canadians, inviting them to share their views on the renegotiation of NAFTA.

Specifically, the government is interested in what aspects or elements of NAFTA have worked well and should remain as is and those that need change or improvement.

“As we head into these negotiations the Official Opposition will continue to ask about the Liberal government’s priorities, and will not hesitate to hold them accountable for their failures to protect Canadian jobs,” said McLeod.
