Multiple hockey games played by the various age categories were played, with age categories of the teams including U18, U15, U13, U11, U9, and U7.

As part of intermission of the U18’s evening game on Jan. 27, the U7 team faced off in an intramural game pairing off into two teams to show off their hockey skills. Despite a few tumbles onto the ice by teammates, the team in red pinnies was able to score the winning goal.

When the intermission concluded, the Icehawks and the North Okanagan Knights skated back onto the ice for their second period. The Icehawks skill and intensity on the ice perfectly encapsulated to spectators their determination to win. During the second period, the Knights were able to secure their first goal. However, shortly thereafter the Icehawks scored to create a tie and it was anybody’s game. In the last 10 minutes of the game the Icehawks scored, gaining one point on the Knights. Within the last five minutes of the game the Icehawks scored yet again, securing their victory over the Knights. The final score of the game was 4 – 2.

Over at the curling rink, meanwhile, was the “Love Where You Live” Curling Bonspiel.
