Yellowhead Mining Inc. has completed an updated feasibility study for its Harper Creek project, according to a recently issued third quarter report.
The feasibility study included updating the resource and reserve estimates, updating estimates of initial capital costs, sustaining capital costs and operating costs, and the financial analysis of the project
Yellowhead is continuing to update and revise the environmental assessment application for the Harper Creek project, with a target date for submission to the BC Environmental Assessment Office during the fourth quarter of 2014.
The updated National Instrument 43-101 Technical Report – Feasibility Study was filed on Sept. 29. Environmental assessment costs increased from $199,000 in the third quarter of 2013 to $1.41 million in the third quarter of 2014 in support of activities needed to support the re-submission of the EA application.
In the spring of 2013 the provincial EAO concluded that Yellowhead's application for an Environmental Assessment Certificate for Harper Creek did not satisfy the application information requirements. The EAO decided not to accept the application for review at that time.
The proposed Harper Creek copper-gold-silver open pit mine would be located about 10 km southwest of Vavenby.
