The dates are set - June 25 and 26, for the Barriere Celebration of The Arts. The venue will be similar to last year’s event and will once again be hosted at the Barr K Treats property on Highway 5 in Barriere.

Organizer Jessie Maisonneuve says booth space is already being booked by artists and artisans, and she encourages people to get their names in early so as not to be disappointed. She notes the cost of a space is just $10, and that service groups and organizations are also welcome to participate to promote their programs. Vendors are reminded they must supply their own canopy or tent, and that power is not available. She does note however, that there are a few tents available for those who speak up early.

The two day event is an extravaganza of art and culture, featuring the amazing talent of the North Thompson Valley and British Columbia.

Sponsored by the North Thomspon Arts Council, and hosted by the Yellowhead Artists, the venue continues to be admission free to the public, and encourages youth to attend and participate in the 12 years and under Art Activity Area.

Maisonneuve says they expect a strong turnout of vendors this year and that the Arts Council is looking forward to presenting such a broad range of top quality art for exhibition and/or for sale.

If  you would like more information or would like to book a space, or volunteer, please call Jessie at 250-672-9772.
