Last weekend had the Clearwater atom Ice Hawks host the Thompson Caribou Championship tournament at North Thompson Sportsplex.

The tournament included: Logan Lake, Merritt, Lillooet, Clearwater and two teams from Chase. The teams have all gotten so much stronger over the course of the year that the competition was fierce. The crowd watched some great action throughout the weekend with the roaring fans from each of the teams getting involved every step of the way.

Clearwater made it into the final playoff game against Chase and nearly rallied back from an early lead by the other team for some nail-biting final minutes. The local team showed such an amazing display of determination and skill that although the score didn’t go their way, the play was so close and incredible it was memorable to watch.
