Mitchell Chayer gets back to third base before the opposing pitcher makes the throw to put him out. The Clearwater youth was playing with the Thompson-Okanagan U16 BC Summer Games team in one of two exhibition games against the Cariboo team in Clearwater last weekend.
Other Clearwater players on the team are John Meyer, Ryan Green , Billy Biagioni and Jayden Kjenstad.
The team won one and lost one in the double-header, their first games together. They will travel to 100 Mile House next weekend for a doubleheader and hopefully play some pickup games in preparation of the Summer Games, which will held in Abbotsford on July 22-24.
