Head coach Mikhail Chekanov gives instructions to members of the Russian national women's team during a training session at the North Thompson Sportsplex on Wednesday afternoon, March 23. The team had two on-ice training sessions plus two dryland training sessions per day during the four days they were in Clearwater getting ready for the world championships in Kamloops. Only the one session was open to the public and a large crowd turned out to watch. The session was followed by a fun game between the Russians and female Clearwater Minor Hockey players and alumni.
