On Sunday, Feb. 4, a fun poker tournament was held at the Wells Gray Inn. A total of 18 players braved a cold and snowy day to play a game before the Super Bowl football game started. Small prizes were donated by the Wells Gray Inn.

Winner of the game was Laurie Marsh, followed by Goldie Krawec, Chris Moore, Craig Wilm and Cheryl MacHale.

Many players had exceptional hands, with one hand consisting of Four of Kind in Q’s while others were Quad 4’s. The next best was a Full House consisting of 77755.

Some chip fortunes grew while other players went on tilt, as it did not matter what they played they were always second best.

The regular weekly poker games for points continues each week with the Season 25 tournament to be held on Wednesday, March 28. Players collect points through a three-month season. The nine players who gain to most points during a season play for trophies at the season tournament.

As it is only midway through this season, you could still gain enough points to play in the Season 25 tournament. Play is each Wednesday evening at the Wells Gray Inn starting at 7 p.m.
