Pictured are (l-r) Lars Dowker, Lucas Taniguti (goalie), #15 Chays York, and Ethan Smith (with puck). The game was held Saturday in the Sportsplex – part of a five-team tournament. “It was a tough weekend for us and we lost three out of four games,” said coach Barb Coates. “We were playing teams that were way stronger but we battled in the last game of the tourney and won the game with only nine seconds left in the game. The kids were tired but didn’t give up.”

Inset photos: Clearwater Atoms #6 Jackson Graffunder and #14 Tyler MacDonald battle for the puck in front of the Quesnel Green Goblins net (above photo), put it over the line (centre photo), then celebrate their scoring (bottom photo). MacDonald got the credit for the goal.
