Peewees beat Merritt twice

Two wins leave local squad in first place at the end of regular season play

“We won both games against Merritt, though they made us work for it!”

That was the report from Clearwater Peewee Ice Hawks coach Barb Coates following games at the Sportsplex on Saturday and Sunday, Feb. 17 and 18.

The wins mean the Peewees finish the season in first place with 17 wins and one tie.

They now go off to playoffs in Ashcroft March 2/3/4. The top two teams from that weekend then will have a playoff championship series the March 9/10/11 weekend.

Clearwater will host the Peewee districts on Mar. 17/18/19.
