Novice players take to the ice

The Jan. 15/16 weekend saw five Novice teams from Clearwater, 100 Mile House and Kamloops come together to play four games each at the Sportsplex. The Clearwater teams didn’t make it easy for the two Kamloops teams, which in the end took first and second place. The games were close, with lots of end-to-end hockey.

The last game was between the two Clearwater teams, the Blue Tornadoes and the White Knights. It was a fast paced game with lots of action but in the end the Blue Tornadoes triumphed. It was all in good fun and the players were back practicing together a few days later.

Winners of the Heart and Hustle awards from Clearwater were: Angus Allchin, Amy Gunn, Parker Collins, Jayden Kjenstad, Piet Oud, Dallas Tucker, Carter McLellan and Kash Sigouin.
