Clearwater Youth Soccer hosted a total of 80 young players from Clearwater and Barriere during a fun soccer play-day on Sunday afternoon.

The event was held on the playing fields at Clearwater Secondary School.

“We are so fortunate to have a nearby community like Barriere for our children to play against,” commented Clearwater Youth Soccer president Barb Coates.

“Barriere provides players of similar experience and skill level making for fun and challenging games. The Clearwater players had to work hard to win three of the five games played! We are excited to continue and build on the healthy and fun rivalry between Barriere and Clearwater.”

Players from Clearwater are to travel to Barriere this Saturday to continue the rivalry.
