There were 10 of us out for Ladies Night on June 15, which is wonderful considering it rained most of the time during the front and back 9. Luckily, the air temperature was warm, so getting soaked was not that bad. One definitely needs an umbrella to golf in Clearwater.

The fun game was “3 clubs and a putter” and seven of us stayed after the back 9 for a little chatter and a hot dinner. We will have to wait till next week to find out who ended up with the best score for the game.

The winners from the June 8 Ladies Night were: Flight#1: Carol Hindle – long putt, low gross; Madeline Klassen – low net, long drive; Marg Anderson – long drive in 2.

Flight #2: Joan Streadwick – low gross, long drive in 2; Jan Johnston – low net; Larissa Hadley – long drive, long putt.

Flight #3: Yevonne Cline – low gross, long drive in 2, long putt for all flights; Jean Nelson – long drive and Hazel Wadlegger – long putt.

Jan Johnston won the fun game with 15 points, which means she hit the fairway with her tee shot more times and had fewer putts. The next closest had only eight points. Jan J., Carol McNeil and Joan Slingsby drowned their ball in the pond and were awarded a shiny new one.

Carol H. had the least putts and Jean was the most honest putter. There were no winners of the KP on hole #5 or #7. Madeline was the big winner last week by taking the Chip in for a birdie on hole #4. Well done Madeline.

Call Carol (674-8771) or Jane (587-6290) if you have any questions about Ladies Night.
