Clearwater Raiders took on a strong St Ann’s side on Tuesday night, Oct. 4, falling to a 5-0 defeat in their penultimate league soccer game of the season.

After a positive start, the St. Ann’s senior forwards caused some chaos in the attacking third. The players from Kamloops were able to keep the Raiders at bay and capitalize on some good interplay to go into half time 2-0 up.

After half time, Raiders looked threatening again, but the experience and skill of the visiting team propelled them into scoring three more second half goals.

CSS battled right until the end and now look forward to their last league game of the season against Ashcroft next week. The winner of that game will determine which team clinches the automatic berth into the Okanagan regionals.
