Area residents and visitors celebrated Hockey Days at the North Thompson Sportsplex in Clearwater Jan. 27-29.

The celebration kicked off Friday afternoon from 4:30 p.m. to 6 p.m. with a family skate sponsored by Wadlegger Logging and Family Literacy, followed by Ladies Hockey and the MH Alumni Game.

The area was busy again Saturday with local U9, U11, U13 and U15 teams versing teams from Lillooet throughout the day. A spirited match-up between Clearwater’s U18 team and Kamloops wrapped up the day.

There were several more games on Sunday with the teams from Lillooet, another family skate, this one sponsored by the Miller family, and an over 45 drop-in from 7 to 8:15 p.m.
