Clearwater Novice Vipers attended a five-team tournament in Valemount the weekend before last. Opposing teams included Valemount, Vanderhoof and two teams from Prince George.

The Vipers first game was against Valemount. The team got off to a bad start but they fought back were able to tie the game 4 - 4 early in the third period. However, they were unable to hold on and lost 7 - 4.

The second game was versus Prince George. This time the players were on top of their game, they passed the puck and played their positions and were able to come out with a 7 - 2 win.

Afterwards the players returned to their hotels and enjoyed the pool and waterslides, played mini-sticks and some even stayed up late to watch the Canucks game.

The first game Sunday morning was against the other Prince George team. This was likely the best game the team played. The Vipers won 9 - 2.

The fourth game of the tournament was against Vanderhoof. If they had won they would have made it to the finals. However the team ran out of gas and lost 10-5. All in all was a good weekend both on and off the ice.
