Clearwater minor hockey kicks off

Clearwater’s minor hockey season is off to a great start with close to 100 registrants this season says Elijah Wicks,vpresident of the league.

The 2022/2023 season will see the Clearwater & District Minor Hockey Association (CDMHA) hosting tier 4 provincials in March for the U18 rep team, said Wicks. The U15 Recreation team is scheduled to have a tournament in Clearwater from Nov. 11 to 14.

The CDMHA also has a U13 Recreation team and two teams in the U11 ( development and a recreation team).

The U9 has many kids signed up and they have a tournament in Clearwater in the last weekend of November.

The league also has a U7 team which are mostly beginners new to the game.

Last month the minor hockey association hosted free programs for beginners over three consecutive Sundays.
