5 Alberta teams to join BCHL for 2024-25 season

The BC Hockey League is expanding to Alberta.

In an announcement by the league on Saturday morning (Jan. 20), five teams are leaving the Alberta Junior Hockey League (AJHL) for the BCHL for the 2024-25 season. The five teams are the Blackfalds Bulldogs, Brooks Bandits, Okotoks Oilers, Sherwood Park Crusaders and Spruce Grove Saints.

More information, including league structure will be announced in the coming weeks.

This announcement was made by the league just ahead of the league’s all-star festivities taking place throughout the day on Saturday.
