Below: Glacier lilies nod in the sunshine in the flower meadows on Trophy Mountain on June 26. The north side of Raft Mountain is visible in the background. Glacier lilies normally bloom late June and early July. There is a second, multi-colour bloom of mountain daisy, indian paintbrush and other flowers in early August. The meadows are about a half-hour drive from Clearwater, followed by a moderate, 1 1/2 hour hike. People should be prepared for changes in the weather. Sudden snow in the summertime is not unusual.
