On Wednesday, Feb, 16, the first gathering of the Clearwater Breastfeeding Group will be held at Yellowhead Community Services at 7:30 p.m. This will be a gathering for all women who are breastfeeding or pregnant and who want information on breastfeeding.

It is important to note that getting accurate information and support from the start will help with your breastfeeding experience. Many complications faced by women who are breastfeeding occur early on, which can be discouraging and possibly lead a mother to stop breastfeeding, even when she still has a desire to continue.

The purpose of this group is to provide support, encouragement, and up-to-date information in a relaxed and friendly atmosphere. Future gatherings will be held on the third Wednesday evening of every month at 7:30 p.m. at YCS. Refreshments will be provided. Please email the group with any questions or suggestions you have to contribute before each meeting at clearwaterbreastfeedinggroup@gmail.com.

A 24-hour support line will also be advertised soon for breastfeeding mothers in our area. Join us to share stories, information, and lessons learned from other breastfeeding mothers.
