I am responding to Keith McNeill’s article from Nov. 29, 2010 about carbon offsets.
I see that School District 73 will pay $120,000 for carbon offsets in 2010.
That money goes to Pacific Carbon Trust, then to private companies, such as the Westin Whistler Resort.
Why is public money, meant to fund the school system, being diverted to provide direct subsidies to private companies?
