Thank you very much for your edition featuring Clearwater Hockey Days 2011! The Pee Wee Girls have had great response to their fundraising project Pennies For Pucks.
Just a note to anyone who would like to donate to the fundraiser – the girls will be at Safety Mart on Wednesday, Jan. 26, from 3 p.m. – 5 p.m. Jan. 26 will also be a special day as they will be decked out in pink to celebrate National Wear It Pink Day as part of the campaign to fight breast cancer.
Super Save Gas has also kindly offered to act as a drop off location for anyone in the community who would like to donate their pennies for pucks.
The goal for the fundraiser is to raise $3500. This amount is to assist with ice time costs as part of the Female Pee Wee Championships that will be held in Clearwater this coming March as well as for tournament funds. Anything raised over $3500 will be donated to the Hospital Auxiliary.
