Clearwater and Area Success by 6 is very excited to invite all fathers, grandfathers, uncles and male caregivers to attend the next Just Dads event! On Wednesday, Feb. 8 from 11 a.m. to 12 p.m. a toboggan party will be held at the Clearwater Ski Hill. Hot chocolate and light snacks will be served. Helmets are mandatory. This event is provided free of charge and is sponsored by Clearwater and Area Success By 6.
The Just Dads program began in July 2010 as a pilot project funded by Success by 6 to meet the needs of fathers in the community. All dads, grandfathers, uncles and other male role models are invited to bring their children to special activities and events held within the community. Events have included trips to local parks, and tours of the Clearwater Fire Hall. It is a great place for male caregivers to make friends and do something special with their children.
I would like to welcome Curt Osmond as our new Just Dads facilitator. He is the father of a one and a half year old boy and works in our community. Curt is busy planning some fun activities and is looking forward to seeing you all there!
Lastly, for the next few months I will work as the Success by 6 coordinator for Clearwater and Area to assist Heather Adamson whose duties have increased regarding the coordination of various Early Childhood Development Programs in the community.
