Snow guidelines work both ways

We read with interest and a chuckle regarding the District of Clearwater's snow removal guideline in the article "What's Happening" in a recent issue of the Times

Editor, The Times:

We read with interest and a chuckle regarding the District of Clearwater's snow removal guideline in the article "What's Happening" in a recent issue of the Times.

May I quote: "The District of Clearwater requests that when you are clearing your driveways that you ensure that you put the snow onto your property and not onto the roadways."

And so, it works both ways. As property owners we request that when the grader/operator is clearing the local roadways, that he refrain from filling our driveway entrances with snow when we have worked so hard to clear them. The grader is a much more powerful machine than our tiny snowblowers. Is this not a reasonable request? Alas, the tedium of late winter is upon us, however surely we will all prevail!

Thank you very much for your attention.
