Clearwater Fire Department would like to pass on a big thank-you to the town of Clearwater.
First, to all the people that came and the donations we got for our annual Fathers Day Lunch
Second, we got enough sponsors in our Fire Safety book drive to get a 125 books to be given out during Fire Prevention week to the Grade 4 classes at Raft River School.
And lastly, If you saw the Duracell commercial on TV you would know that in five months Canadians helped show their support for volunteer firefighters by purchasing 125,000 packs of batteries, which resulted in a total of 250,000 batteries being donated to fire departments across Canada. The Clearwater Fire Dept got a total of 160 batteries.
