Pennell thanks Area A residents for support

We have accomplished a lot in the past three years and I appreciate the opportunity to continue with projects that are ongoing

Editor, The Times:

I would like to take this opportunity to personally thank all who supported me in my bid for re-election as the TNRD Wells Gray Country director. I will continue to work hard for all residents of Electoral Area A.

Please do not hesitate to contact me regarding any issues or concerns that you feel I may be able to assist you with. I have been very successful working as an advocate, facilitator and mediator on behalf of area residents and enjoy the many challenges presented to me.

We have accomplished a lot in the past three years and I appreciate the opportunity to continue with projects that are ongoing. It is always a pleasure to work with local community groups that are so dedicated to their projects.

In the next year I hope to see the completion of significant renovations at both the Blackpool and Vavenby community halls, Vavenby cell service, Ferryman Recognition Cairn and renaming of Ferry Road Park in Blackpool, development of a community park at the Blackpool Hall, opening of the Clearwater EcoDepot, affordable options for septage disposal and North Thompson contiguous boundary fire protection.

I will also continue to lobby for expanded high speed internet coverage in the area and improved hydro infrastructure for the North Thompson Valley.

It’s a long list and there will be many smaller items added to this as well as the regular day-to-day business to take care of and I look forward to it all.

Lastly, I would like to thank my wife Barb for her support, ideas and help during my past three years as your Wells Gray Country director.

Once again, thanks everybody!
