Blackpool Fire Department will be hosting a wildfire and emergency preparedness open house at Blackpool Fire Hall on Sunday, June 26, from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m.

The public is invited to come and view the display, pick up information and ask questions. Blackpool Fire will have its two home sprinkler protection units running for the public to view.

Information on FireSmart and how to protect your home and property will be provided. What do you need to be prepared in the event of an emergency, disaster or an evacuation? Do you have list of what you would take on short notice and where it is? Who are you emergency contacts?

Display information on site will include:

• Household preparedness guide booklets

• Household emergency plan/guide

• Neighbourhood preparedness guide booklets

• Basic emergency supply kit postcards

• Emergency INFO BC postcards

• FireSmart BC booklets.

We look forward to seeing you on Sunday, June 26, at the open house. Blackpool Fire will also have free hotdogs and pop on hand.
