Editor's Note: The following letter refers to an incident in which the letter writer's dog was attacked by a bull mastiff. Three men plus the writer were unable to make the large dog release the smaller until one hit the mastiff on the head with a wrench, she said.

With much appreciation I would like to thank all the people involved in helping rescue my dog on Friday, June 8. It wasn't for you folks, the situation could have been much worse. Thank you so much.
