A heartfelt thank-you goes out to all the volunteers and donors, who gave of their time and effort to give this year

Editor, The Times:

A heartfelt thank-you goes out to all the volunteers and donors, who gave of their time and effort to give this year. It has certainly paid off as we did better than we did last year. Our total for Clearwater was $3,608.16 while Little Fort was $1,144 for a grand total of $4,752.16. Well done.

Special thanks go out to Safety Mart for allowing us to canvass these past years.

Thank-you also goes out to Clearwater Times for helping us to get the word out.

An honorable mention goes to Sharon Cusworth (Chase) for her dedication and passion for the Heart and Stroke Foundation. She has work tirelessly for 37 years fundraising to help keep research and your loved ones alive. Although she has moved to Kamloops and is active with Kamloops division she still makes the journey north to fundraise in Clearwater, while many of us do not seem to have the time, to volunteer for even a few hours. Thank-you, Sharon.

To the ladies of Little Fort - thank-you Barb Denton, Elsie Karl, and Sally Dawe - you did a great job. Big thanks go out as well to our Clearwater volunteers - Bonnie Ruttan, Stacey Hedman, Denise Kreke, Doreen Elliot, Jean and Gordon Gross, Frances Dyer, Winnie Nelson, Penny Christianson, Mary Neathway and Gloria Grenier.

Should you wish to be a volunteer or make a donation for the Heart and Stroke Foundation of B.C. and Yukon, please contact Wendy Grimm at 1-250-674-6806.
