Editor, The Times:

Homelessness is the harsh reality of a market-driven system. It applies to individuals but also to organizations.

Unfortunately, this is the case for the North Thompson Arts Council, the latest victim of market forces in the Clearwater area. The arts council’s assets are now in storage due to the generosity of the Star Lake Church group.

Don’t misunderstand, the spirit of the arts in Clearwater is not dead, only temporarily homeless. I would ask that if there is somebody out there with available space that could provide that space to the North Thompson Arts Council at less than market value until the council can get on its feet it would be greatly appreciated.

The council is not without revenue potential, as was demonstrated by the bringing in the play Vigil and the artist entertainer Noah.

In conclusion, if you can help to keep the creative spirit alive and on display, please consider our request.
