Wendy was born in Matsqui, BC on September 25, 1950 and passed away peacefully in Clearwater, BC at the age of 68 after a 1 1/2 year battle with Cancer.

Wendy is survived by her husband Charlie, daughter Lori (Dwayne), son James (Charity), grandchildren Darci, Danielle, Mitch, Ariel and Bryton, great grandchildren Mayson, Bella, Dayton, Kaliandra, Liam and Shiloh. Brothers Wayne, Mark (Kelly), sisters Susan, Terri- Lynne, Melanie (Keith), Sister Sister Debbie (Waldon) and many nieces and nephews.

Wendy is predeceased by her parents Ron and Minnie; beloved son C.B Pollard.

Wendy was a loving mother and wife, and a very proud nana/GG. She was a Cook supervisor at Bear Creek Corrections, Cook at Bas Cafe, Bookkeeper, and caterer for all family weddings. She was a member of both Quilt clubs in Clearwater; spent many years on Vavenby Fire and Water board (retired); Saturdays were at Elks pancake breakfast and Farmers market even when she was sick!

Wendy was caring, loving, giving and made Cancer quilts up to her illness. While having radiation she sewed PIC line covers for Cancer patients. Wendy always had a positive attitude and where there was a need, she would fill it. Everyone who met her, loved her. Wendy is also famous for her Lasagne!

A service to celebrate Wendy's life will take place at the Vavenby Community Hall at 12 noon on April 20, 2019. Officiating the service is Ian Moilliet. There will be a reception to follow. We would like to thank Clearwater Hospital staff, Kamloops and Kelowna Cancer clinics, everyone who supported her through her illness mentally and physically and financially. Your thoughts and prayers were heard.

Donations can be made in Wendy's name to the Kamloops or Kelowna Cancer centers.
