GRENIER
May 20, 1932 – September 11, 2006
Ulric Joseph “Rick” Grenier of Clearwater BC, born in Bellevue SK on May 20, 1932, passed away suddenly at Royal Inland Hospital in Kamloops, BC on September 11, 2006. He was 74 years of age. Rick will be sadly missed and remembered by Jocelyne, his loving wife of 11 years; his daughter Yvette (John) Brown of Watson Lake, YT; sons Felix and Willy of Surrey BC; his three granddaughters, Vicki (Paul) Feist of Arras BC, Brenda (Bob) Thola of Grande Prairie AB and Teresa Brown of Dawson Creek BC; his grandson John Brown Jr. of Watson Lake YT; his great grandson Tyler Feist; two great granddaughters, Savanna Feist and Jessica Thola; three sisters, Donalda (Edgar) Topping of Bellevue SK, Gisele Gaudet of Prince Albert SK and Dolores (René) Carriere of Langley BC; two brothers, Dollard (Monique) Grenier of Bellevue SK, and Michel Grenier of Clearwater BC; as well as numerous nieces, nephews and friends. Rick was predeceased by his first wife Therese; parents Herve and MarieAnne; sisters Angele (Robert) Chartier, Dezilda (Amedé) LeBlanc, Laurianne (Ovide) Gaudet, Claudette (Andreas) Gaudet; and brothers Florent and Rosaire.
Rick was “Uncle Rick” to most people he came across. Everybody loved him. He was a very social and outgoing person. He was also very protective and close to the people he loved. Rick had a big heart. He also had a strong faith in people and in God. Rick will be missed dearly.
Funeral Services for Rick Grenier were held on Saturday, September 16, 2006 at the Catholic Church of St. James, Clearwater BC. Father N. J. Forde, O.M.I. officiated. Following interment at the Riverview Cemetery in Clearwater, family and friends gathered back at the church to share refreshments, support, and memories of Rick. Donations to the Canadian Cancer Society in Rick’s name would be appreciated.
