Thomas Peter Saegesser
May 23, 1963 - July 30, 2004
With deep sorrow we must say goodbye to our son, brother, uncle, cousin and friend.
Thomas was born in Switzerland and immigrated to Canada in 1993. He passed away suddenly in the homeland of his choice, Canada.
Thomas is survived by his family in Switzerland: parents Ursula and Peter Saegesser; brother Markus (Suzanne) Saegesser; sisters Brigitte (Daniel) Schnetz, Andrea (Paul) Rindlirbacher; nieces and nephews Luthi, Nina, Nicola, Marco, Jana, Timo, Manuel, Sandra, Nadine and Kerstin.
Thomas was a trained bricklayer, but his first passion was farming. His many fences and corrals in the area are a testimony to his love of the land.
When Thomas first came to Canada in 1993, he settled in Ontario.
A year later he moved to B.C. Tom worked in the Cariboo, spent a year in California and then purchased property in the Roundtop area where he was presently working hard to improve his farm.
The Saegesser family sincerely wishes to thank Thomas's close friends, Bonnie and Joe, Vivian, Debbie, Marcel and Heidi, Ron and Joe and Hazel for all their support and help during this very difficult time.
Thomas's ashes will be interned in his native Switzerland.
A memorial service was held at the home of Joe and Hazel Wadlegger on Saturday, August 7, 2004.
