In Loving Memory of
Rudolph Frederick “Rudy”
1942 – 2009
It is with great sadness we announce the passing of Rudolph (Rudy) Frederick Messaros in Clearwater, BC, on April 10, 2009. Rudy was born on October 12, 1942 in New Westminster, BC. He is survived by his wife Elsie Karl; brother, Norman (Deb); sister, Lorraine Jarret; two children, Jasserina, Frederick (Sharon); four grandchildren, Michael, Justin, Jasserina and Jaxon; five step children, Ken, Scott, Bob (Kelly), Laura (Brian), and Michael (Tanya); fourteen step grandchildren, Candace, Shae, Jesse, Josh, Niki, Melissa, Gary, Michael, Christy, Julia, Riley, Christopher, Kaitlin and Zachary; and three great grandchildren, Tye, Max, and Jadon. Rudy was predeceased by his parents, and by his previous wives, Jasserina and Joy.
Rudy’s true passion was to hunt and fish. He operated the Balm of Gilead Hunt Club which raised pheasants and other game birds in Little Fort, BC. Rudy took many groups, both men and women, on hunts throughout BC. He was generally accepted as the best there was.
Rudy also enjoyed reading, visiting with friends, and family. In the Little Fort community, Rudy was a Volunteer Fire Fighter for seven years. He lived his dream, happy with life and his accomplishments.
We would like to thank Dr. Barnard in Barriere, BC, Barriere Hospice Society, and the Home Support nurses for their care and support.
A celebration of Rudy’s life was held on May 3, 2009 at the Port Kells Community Hall, Surrey, BC. There will also be an informal gathering and pot luck dinner on May 16, 2009 at 5:00 p.m. at the Little Fort Community Hall. It will be a time for people to share if one so wishes.
In lieu of flowers donations can be made on behalf of Rudy to Barriere Hospice Society, Box 201, Barriere BC, VOE 1E0 or to any other Society of your choice.
