Richard Thomas Berryman, born in Nelson, March 30, 1953, died peacefully of a heart attack in Greenwood, B.C. on Aug. 21, 2004.
He is survived by his only child, daughter Yelena (Ben) Demandre/Churchill (with two grandchildren), brothers Jeff (Annemarie), Chris (Karen) Berryman; sister Linda (Eugene) Jacula, and Richard’s close companion, Paula.
Richard was feeling free to start new adventures after finishing an important, big phase of his life in Clearwater. His musical threads from Kamloops, Little Fort and Rock Creek touched many people in B.C. and as far away as Newfoundland who are now left behind to tie the bow on his unfinished dreams, and to encourage the sweet, the sensitive, the poetic and the beautiful.
A memorial gathering was held to celebrate his memory at the Berrymans’, Greenwood, B.C., Saturday, Aug. 28, at 2 p.m.
