In loving memory of Noreen Isvik, Feb. 25, 1922 — Oct. 11, 2005.
Bertha Noreen (nee Parsons) Isvik, born in Smokey Lake Alberta, passed away peacefully in Nanaimo, B.C. She was predeceased by her parents Thomas and Nellie Parsons, first husband Fred Whitford, siblings Walter, Clarence, Annie, Phyllis and Ellen as well as her daughter Joanne.
Noreen will be deeply missed by her loving husband Julian, daughters Marilynn (Dan), Julie (Craig) and Melody (Gary), her sons Bob (Ann) and Randy (Shirley), her 13 grandchildren and 18 great-grandchildren.
She will also be lovingly remembered by her sisters Leatha, Viola and Jeanette, and numerous nieces and nephews.
On Oct. 22, 2005 a memorial service celebrating Noreen’s life was held in Clearwater, B.C. at the Evangelical Church with Lloyd Strickland officiating.
There are stars whose radiance is visible on earth though they have long been extinct. There are people whose brilliance continues to light the world though they no longer among the living. These lights are particularly bright when the night is dark.
