Nathan Nicol

July 9, 2004

January 24, 1990 - July 9, 2004-07-14

Nathan Raymond Everett Nicol of Blue River, B.C., passed away on July 9, 2004, at the age of 14 years. He is survived by his loving parents Kim Everard and Matt Nicol and brother Kyle Nicol. He will also be remembered by grandparents Rex and Liz Everard of Valemount, B.C., and numerous aunts, uncles, cousins and friends.

He was predeceased by his grandparents Ellen and Ray Nicol of Kamloops.

Nathan was an all encompassing, independent, bright, witty, charismatic teenager. He was a leader, mature and strong beyond his years. Born in Kamloops, he spent most of his life in Blue River. His friends were most important to him and he loved nothing more than to make them laugh with his sense of humor, facial expressions and antics. He had a strong, non-conforming, tenacious personality that, if challenged, would never give in. Nathan had a great love of the outdoors and all you do in it, but mostly loved to fish and would become most joyful when even the smallest fish was caught. You could not meet Nathan without remembering his strong will and spirit. He was a complex, sensitive, intuitive individual. He lived his life with great determination, attitude and integrity. There are no words that truly describe our Nathan and all he was. He touched many lives in his short time here and will be greatly missed by all who loved and knew him.

A celebration of Nathan’s life took place at the Blue River community Hall @ 2:00 p.m. on Saturday July 17, 2004 with Martin Perren officiating.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Blue River Parks and Recreation.

Warm heartfelt thanks to all who embraced us during this time.
