Mike Mazer passed away suddenly at Dr. Helmcken Memorial Hospital, Clearwater BC, on July 27, 2006. He was 84 years of age. Born Mike Mazurkewich on September 3, 1921 in the Rama-Dobrowody area of Saskatchewan, Mike was predeceased by his mother, Caroline, his father, Jan, his brothers Walter, Rudy and Nick, as well as his sisters Elsie and Anne. His passing will be mourned by his brother-in-law Mike Sliva of Saskatoon, SK, his sister-in-law Helen Mazer of Yorkton, SK, and many nieces and nephews.
Mike enjoyed the outdoors, especially hunting and fishing. He spent most of his working life in Edmonton, but when he retired his love of the outdoors drew him to settle in Clearwater, where he could be closer to lakes and rivers. Mike had a gentle, good nature and good humor which will be fondly remembered by his surviving relatives and friends.
