In Loving Memory of Melanie Jane Harwood (nee Mackenzie) was called home by her Lord and saviour May 7, 2018. She was the devoted wife to John Harwood whom she loved dearly. Melanie had four wonderful children that she loved and adored: Machaella Teichreb, Dale Jonathan Harwood (deceased 1993), Nathan Harwood, and Shanequa Harwood. Her three grandchildren were the joy of her life: Serenity, Lee-Anna, and Gabriel who loved hitting on his grandma and called her his "sweetheart." They all loved spending time with grandma.
Melanie was predeceased by her grandparents Max and Charlotte Miller as well as Ted and Ada Mackenzie. She will be missed dearly by her mom Maxine Miller and dad Gordon Mackenzie (Lilac). Also mourning the loss is her identical twin sister Marnie Peters (Al), her sister Isla (Colter, Andrew), her brother Nick Koetter (Kelly), her uncle Charles Miller (Kathy), Heather Elliot (Brandon), Aron Perry (Andrew), and Sarah Gregg. As well as her nieces Kaylena Bolger (Courtney), Megan Peters and nephew Dayne Peters. Ann and Jon Leuthaiser of Gresham Oregon. She leaves behind many friends, loved ones and memories that we carry in our hearts.
Melanie was always known for her contagious smile, her gift and passion for music. She was a certified education assistant and loved helping others. Melanie always put others first and was always there for anything anyone needed.

The outpouring of gifts and meals speak as a testament to the heart of this community. We will be forever grateful, with hearts full of gratitude.
