Mary Peterson passed away at Royal Inland Hospital, Kamloops BC on January 2, 2010, at 85 years of age. A resident of the North Thompson Valley since 1972, Mary is survived by Steve, her loving husband of 40 years; sons Craig Hansen (Anne) and David Hansen (Moe); daughter Sherry Allen (Bruce); grandchildren Lorne Fitzsimmons (Isabell), Ken Hansen (Megan), Doug Hansen (Corrie), Elizabeth Hansen (Doug) and Daryl Hansen; great grandchildren Kade, Kastor, Karter, Brooklyn and Dayton. Mary was predeceased by her daughter, Donna Fitzsimmons.
A funeral service was held for Mary Peterson in the Chapel at North Thompson Funeral Services, Clearwater, BC, at 1:00 p.m. on Saturday, January 9, 2010, followed by a graveside committal service at Riverview Cemetery in Clearwater, and a reception at the Wells Gray Inn. Donations in memory of Mary Peterson to Dr. Helmcken Memorial Hospital, 640 Park Drive, RR1, Clearwater, BC, V0E 1N0, would be appreciated.
