Marie Wilson
1960 - 2008
Marie Wilson passed away after a short illness on November 4, 2008 in Dr. Helmcken Memorial Hospital, Clearwater, BC. She was just 48 years of age.
Born Esther Roberta Marie Froese in North Vancouver, BC, on October 12, 1960, Marie and her husband Brian have lived in the Clearwater and Birch Island area for almost 30 years. Marie leaves behind her loving family; her husband, Brian Wilson; daughter Charmaine McCauley; sons Matthew Wilson and Vincent Wilson; grandchildren Daimian and Austay; her mother, Yvonne Stefanyshyn; brothers Sam (Cathy) Froese, David (Fern) Froese and Joe Froese; sisters Ruby (Jack) Clegg, Bernadette (Barry) Webber and Susan Froese; plus numerous nieces, nephews and good friends. Marie was predeceased by her father, Bernhard Froese.
Marie was a person who loved everything and everyone. She loved to have fun and she loved to travel. She loved to laugh and it was contagious! She was accepting of others and embraced people of all ages; you would find Marie on the dance floor with people in their teens or early 20’s, grooving to their music! Marie’s passions were fishing, gardening and her friends at the Kingdom Hall.
Marie’s loved her family and treasured her role as housewife to Brian and mother of Charmaine, Matthew and Vincent. She stayed at home and cared for them most of her life. Later on, she worked as a cook for a local restaurant in Clearwater, BC and then she worked for about five years for Mike Wiegele Helicopter Skiing in Blue River, BC.
A Memorial Service for Marie Wilson will be held at the Kingdom Hall in Clearwater, BC, on Saturday, November 15, 2008 starting at 2:00 p.m. Everyone is welcome. Refreshments will follow. Arrangements entrusted to North Thompson Funeral Services, Clearwater, BC, tel.:
