Lylet (Swede) Brown
July 1, 1937 — Sept. 22, 2004
Swede passed away peacefully and with dignity, on Sept. 22, 2004 at the Marjorie Willoughby Snowden Hospice House, with her family by her side.
Swede is survived by her husband of 49 years, Dale. She is also survived by her six children: Jo-Anne (Leonard) Massicotte, Roxanne (Dan) Taylor, Keith ‘Butch’ Brown, Diane (Derrall) Brown, Lianne (Brent) Hamblin and Rae-Anne (Jim) Dickie as well as her brother Maynard (Carol) Miller and her sister Clarece Dyson.
She also leaves her nine grandchildren: Kevin (Andrea), Robyn, Naomie (Jeff), Christina (Brad), Rachelle (Graham), Dayton (Shar), Brennan, Alisha and Emma Rae as well as three great-grandchildren, many nieces and nephews and her beloved canine pet Tu Tu. Swede was predeceased by her parents Agnes and Clarence Miller.
There will be a celebration of life on Saturday, Oct. 2, 2004, at 11:00 a.m., at the Clearwater Legion, 257 Glenn Road, Clearwater, B.C.
The family requests that, in lieu of flowers, donations be made to the Canadian Cancer Society, 685 Victoria Street, Kamloops, BC, V2C 2B3, in Swede’s name.
