June 6, 2020
It is with both great joy and sadness that we announce the passing of our beloved Mother, Grandmother, dear friend, and sunshine bringer. Lorraine Hansen peacefully left us, with family by her side on June 6, 2020 after a long fight with Dementia.
First and foremost, we would like to thank the incredible staff at CVL in Trail for their outstanding care and kindness over the last several years. Your continuous hard work, love, and devotion to those who need you so desperately during such vulnerable times is astounding. There are not enough words to thank you all for caring for her in ways we could not.
Lorraine's legacy is that of generosity, kindness, love, and a beautifully stubborn heart. Also in her wake are countless individuals, who were inspired by the woman she was and bettered simply from knowing her. It was innate for Lorraine to think of others before herself, and that was one of her most admirable qualities— selflessness.
She will be lovingly remembered by family for her infectious smile, her formidable spirit, and her enormous admiration for her loved ones.
Lorraine's faith in God was strong even in her final moments, and we, the family, find peace in knowing that she is finally free from her disease and home with her Lord and Saviour and many loved ones.
Due to current restrictions there will be a small private service held for her at a later date. The family extends their deepest gratitude for all those who have reached out and sent their condolences in various ways.
"I have fought the good fight. I have finished the race. I have kept the faith."
2 Timothy 4:7
