Lisette (Forget) Desbiens

April 21, 2002

Lisette (Forget) Desbiens: October 17, 1947 to April 21, 2002. Born in Montreal, Quebec she moved with her family to Marie Reine, Alberta, in 1952. At the age of 14, she went to St. Boniface School in Manitoba to study Home Economics. She returned to Alberta at the sudden passing of her mother in 1966 to help her father take care of her youngest siblings.

In 1968, she married Rosaire Desbiens and they honeymooned in the Clearwater area where her sister Francine was living at the time. Liz and Rosaire moved to Birch Island in September of 1972 with their two young daughters and have lived in the North Thompson Valley ever since.

Liz enjoyed tending to her garden, talking on the phone daily with her daughter and sister, walking with her friends, going for coffee and especially spoiling her three cherished granddaughters.

Liz is pre-deceased by her mother Bertrande (Periard) Forget, her father Telesphore Forget and her stepmother Therese Forget. She leaves to grieve her devoted husband Rosaire; daughters Lynn (Robert) and Joanne (Darin); grand-daughters Charlie, Emma and Faith; sisters Francine (John), Carmen, Dianne (Gerry), Carol (Bob) and Claire (Brian); brothers Gerard (Jocelyn), Robert (Joan), Michel (Lata) and Angelo (Lorainne); as well as many sisters and brothers-in-law, nieces, nephews and friends.

She was a caring, giving woman who will be greatly missed by all who love her.
