Lillian Claire Vaughan

Jan. 21, 1920 — April 16, 2008

Lillian Claire Vaughan (née

Dunlop) passed away at Forest

View Place in Clearwater,

B.C., on April 16, 2008, after

a brief illness. She was 88

years of age. Born on Jan. 21,

1920 in Vancouver, BC, Claire

and her husband Wally came

to Clearwater in 1997, to be

closer to their family.

Claire is survived by her

son Tony (Thelma) Vaughan

of Clearwater, daughter-inlaw

Elizabeth Vaughan of

Vancouver,grandchildren

Natasha (Frank), Tanya (Dave)

and Jennifer, her brother Frank

Dunlop of Vancouver, and

numerous nieces and nephews.

Sadly, Claire’s loving husband

of 56 years, Walter David

Alexander Vaughan, passed

away on October 23, 2003.

Their son, Tony’s brother Ted

Vaughan, passed away in 1986.

Claire’s three sisters, Peggy, Pat

and Betty, also have passed on.

Claire loved her home and her

family. She was a caring wife,

mother and grandmother who

loved to stay home, be with her

family, and tend her garden.

Many years ago, for a brief

while, Claire worked as maker

of ladies’ hats.There will be a

graveside service at Riverview

Cemetery in Clearwater for

Lillian Claire Vaughan at

10:00 a.m. on Friday, April

25, 2008. Lloyd Strickland,

Minister, will officiate as

Claire is laid to rest beside

her husband, Wally.
