In Loving Memory of

Leonard

DAHLE

June 5, 1932—June 12, 2008

Leonard Dahle passed away at Dr. Helmcken Memorial Hospital, Clearwater, BC, on June 12, 2008. He was 76 years of age. Born Palmer Leonard Dahle in Fort Edmonton, Alberta, Leonard attended elementary and high school in Cornwall, Ontario. He spent a good portion of his career working in logging and forestry, but Leonard spent much of his recreational time surrounded by horses. He was a member of the Raft River Riders, was one of the founding members of the Back Country Horsemen, and was involved with the Great Cariboo Ride. Leonard will be forever remembered for his laughter, his sense of humour and his great story-telling ability. He could always see the funny side of things.

Leonard will be dearly missed by his wife, Jean, of Birch Island; daughter Lea, of Vernon, BC; son Curtis (Shannon) and granddaughter Cassidy Ann of Kamloops, BC; brother Buck (Stella) of Wetaskiwin, AB; sister Shirley of Clearwater, Florida, plus numerous nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by his first wife, Ann, and by his younger sister, Andrea.

Family and friends gathered at the Moss family ranch in Birch Island, BC on Saturday, June 21, 2008 to remember and pay tribute to Leonard Dahle. Lloyd Strickland officiated at the Memorial Service. Interment followed at the Birch Island Cemetery. Donations in memory of Leonard Dahle to the Canadian Cancer Society would be appreciated.
