In Loving Memory of

Leo Nadeau

April 12, 1929 — April 18, 2008

Leo Nadeau of Blackpool, B.C., passed away at Dr. Helmcken Memorial Hospital, Clearwater, B.C. on April 18, 2008 after a lengthy illness and a brave battle with cancer. He was 79 years of age.

Born Joseph Emile Leo Nadeau in Fahler, AB, on April 12, 1929, Leo leaves behind Ruby, his loving wife and partner of 29 years; his children Audwin (Valerie), Dennis (Debbie) and Kevin (Lisa); step-children Jacquie (David), Shelley (Lyle), Teresa (David) and Calvin (Donna); his sister Merilda Laliberte; plus numerous grandchildren, nieces and nephews.

Leo was a resident of the North Thompson Valley for over thirty years. He loved his career as a deck hand, crossing the Peace River — back and forth and back and forth — for seventeen years. Leo also loved fishing and playing his violin. Learning to play his violin was a lifelong pursuit with mixed results! Whatever he worked on, he took great pride and he did a very good job.

A Memorial Service for Leo Nadeau was held at the Clearwater Christian Church, Clearwater, B.C., on Wednesday, April 23, 2008, with Lloyd Strickland, Minister, officiating. Funeral arrangements entrusted to North Thompson Funeral Services, Clearwater (250-674-3030) and Barriere (250-672-1999)
